Why sustainable support matters beyond humanitarian donations
A bag of food can meet an immediate need. A set of clothes can restore dignity. A simple celebration can give a child a memory they will carry for years.
But meaningful care goes further.
For Palmtouch Foundation Africa, supporting vulnerable children is not limited to occasional donations. It is part of a broader commitment to ensuring that children who face difficult circumstances have access to care, dignity, education, health and opportunities to develop their potential.
The Foundation’s work with Jehovah Rapha Orphanage demonstrates this commitment. In April 2025, Palmtouch Foundation Africa provided baby foods, clothes and toiletries. In December, the Foundation returned for its “Merry With The Kids” outreach, combining a celebration with personal hygiene education and donations of food, clothing, toiletries and baby foods.
The year ended with another outreach on 31 December 2025, providing food items, baby foods and toiletries to support the children’s immediate needs. In April 2026, the Foundation also served hot meals to the children during the Easter period.
These may appear to be small interventions, but together they represent something important: consistent care.
The Foundation also extends its humanitarian work beyond institutional settings. In January 2026, it supported a nursing mother caring for newborn twins who was living with significant challenges, responding to a vulnerable family at a time when support was urgently needed.
Palmtouch Foundation Africa’s long-term vision is to establish a modern orphanage and child development centre incorporating residential facilities, a school, medical unit, skills training centre, counselling services and recreational spaces.
This vision reflects an important shift, from simply responding to immediate needs to creating environments where vulnerable children can grow, learn and thrive.
Because every child deserves more than survival.
